Lolita fashion has its roots in many cultural bases and it cannot be doubted that British punk, and Victoriana has had an influence. In a new exhibition to complement the British Design theme, named Kitty and the Bulldog (Hello Kitty takes on the British Bulldog) the links between British fashion and Lolita are explored.

The fashion show was an amazing show of British girls and guys doing Japanese style, but off the catwalk there was some incredible outfits too on attendees simply wandering around and Rokkyuu were there to capture it.

Twenty-ten was an interesting year, especially in the world of gothic, punk, and lolita fashion where trends change rapidly. A few key trends that began in 2009 started becoming ubiquitous in and around Harajuku in 2010, and gave many of the big brands cause to rethink their direction.
