Two crazy, homicidal, adorable kitties, their cool-cat counterpart, their human friends in kitty mode (sensing a theme here?), some personified anatomy and an array of characters ranging from cute to gruesome – that’s what you’ll find at Hangry & Angry Battles!

Located down Harajuku street (more or less a continuation of the infamous Takeshita street), this brand new store has all the plush toys, key chains, character shirts, badges, and other character-themed goods you ever wanted and more. Here’s a few of the gems we found:

Cute, stylish and just a little bit weird, these accessories abound at Hangry & Angry Battles!

Lovely candles contrasted by raging doll clothes. Starting to get the idea?

Sixh.’s infamous collab shirts brought us Golden Bomber, Nirvana… and IBIry & MINgry.

The store opening on January 7th was a fun, casual affair where regular customers could mingle with designers Gashicon of Hangry & Angry and MINT of Sixh. as well as Hangry and Angry models Jurina & Erika. There was cake aplenty, drinks, and even character themed chocolate and cookies!

Just like kids with… well… cake!

For the love of cookies!

Gashicon seems to be in her element.

Fans lend a hand, freely mingling with the gang.

Be afraid, little girl. Be very afraid. Well, for all that they are adorable punk & goth-lolli kitties, Hangry & Angry are indeed scary little psychos.

Gashicon and her two favorite cats… and one sneaky MINT (neko).

Of course, no grand opening is complete without a give-away!

Most got chocolate or key chains.

This lucky lady won the 2nd prize!

Choices, choices…

Third prize! What a fitting home for these items!

Even the two coolest cats got their pick… and did well for themselves!

Despite the staff’s best efforts, 1st prize never appeared and the draw continued as the store’s regular business began the following day. However, none were disappointed. It was a lovely event, and pockets bulged with chocolates and cookies as the satisfied customers made their way home.
