Maverick’s twice-yearly showcase event, Jack in the Box is just a pop-up surprise each time. The label’s popular bands coupled with session bands from “within the family” keep the audience engaged, which is no small feat, considering the eight-hour running time. Even Hyde showed up for the session!
Kate Havas first became interested in Japanese fashion in college when visual kei and anime were just beginning to make their way to America. Having already been involved in the American fashion scene, she expanded her interests to include gothic lolita, Japanese punk, gyaru, and other Japanese subculture styles.
