Dog in the Parallel World Orchestra

The curtains remained closed through the barking opening as the crowd clapped in time. The moment they parted, the band became visible, gathered around the center podium and as Haru howled, then they spread across the stage. Jun Jun strummed into “Tulip Chuudoku” on his translucent pink half-moon guitar, his antics proving the highlight of the set as his dynamic style kept him in constant motion. Meanwhile, vocalist Haru responded to the excitable whooping effects overlaying the instrumentals by running around the podium like a hyper pup chasing its tail. “To everyone here at Over the Edge, good evening. Wait, good day. We’re DOG in the Parallel World. I think many of you are seeing us for the first time, so we’ll introduce ourselves,” said Haru, rolling through each of the members in turn from newcomer, drummer Kanna, bassist Mei, rhythm guitarist Mizuki, and lead guitarist “Utsuda Yuya,” otherwise known as Jun Jun.

“We wanna catch up with our betters here today, so let’s get really worked up! ‘Halcion!’” cried Haru. “Wait, not it’s not. ‘Fun!Fun!Tomorrow!!’” To make up for his fumble, Haru jumped down in front of the streets and ran around as the bouncy number began. Calling out to each side of the crowd and center, he then yelled up to the second floor three times. “Clap your hands!” he called, launching “Halcion Candy” for real. The set came to an energetic head with “Dream shower” during which the whole band, sans drummer, ran around and around in a wide circle to the hyper pop tune while the crowd hopped from side to side, moving in rows. “We have an announcement for everyone in Shibuya. We’ll have a oneman next year on January 14 at Akasaka BLITZ.” After the fun “Baby Love” with great bass, Haru riled up the crowd with a lot of wordless screaming. “It’s been a very fun day! See you next year! ‘WONDER x WONDER!’” The cute number culminated the cheerful, relaxed atmosphere as Haru poured all of his charisma into the choreography, making dog hands at the crowd on the title lyric. “This was DOG!” he cried, bringing the most hyper set of the event to a close.
