heidi. On Top in 2012
With their madcap sixth anniversary celebration out of the way and an end to the first round of inter-genre exploratory lives entitled “Tokyo Lalala,” heidi. are on task for the second half of 2012.
August brings an exciting single release out of the blue. Kumori Sora ni ha Koi Moyou will be up for listening in advance of sale to give fans a taste of heidi.’s new, summer sound. What’s more, it will be made available at the band’s yukata-themed live at Shibuya WWW for some true Japanese summer festivity. Rumor has it that the acoustic duo “Gokigenyo” may make an appearance.
However, that’s only the beginning. Hot on the tails of Kumori Sora ni ha Koi Moyou comes a twelve track full album on September 19, the band’s first original full album for 2012 as their “Best Of” album was released in the Spring. The title, Alpha, makes a strong statement, perhaps insinuating that heidi. intend this album to be their #1 work so far or that they’re aiming for top dog in the scene.
Finally, in celebration of the album release, heidi. will embark on a tour covering over 30 locations from November to February. The final brings the band and their fans to Shibuya AX where heidi. will play a oneman for the first time despite many event appearances at the venue. Having played Shibuya Koukaidou, the band are no strangers to large venues, however, the all-standing Shibuya AX will be a fun new challenge.
