Versailles are back on track after their first major performance at V-Rock Festival 2009. The next big step on their agenda is to say goodbye to their former bassist in a way only j-rockers can: at the Shibuya O East as part of the “Versailles Presents Jasmine You – Memorial Ceremony” January 4, 2010.

This is their first concert scheduled since the death of Jasmine You, as V-Rock Fest was scheduled before his death. It will also be the first time Versailles will host a concert as a major band.

Kaya and Matenrou Opera will also appear at the event, which isn’t surprising since at Versailles’ V-Rock Fest performance, bassist Yo from Matenrou Opera played support bass. In the meantime, Kamijo and Hizaki will be appearing as special guests at Kaya’s Yakult Hall Oneman Concert “Encroachment – Masquerade Ball of the Kingdom of the Rose” on December 27.

Finally, a heads up to those of you who are able to tune in to Japanese television station NHK here in the US: Catch Versailles’ live performance on Music Japan December 7. These rare visual kei TV appearances should not be missed, so no excuses for anyone who has the means to watch!
