LUNA SEA Announce Budokan Lives and More After Countdown

The mysterious countdown ticking down on LUNA SEAS’s website has reached its end and the band made their exciting announcement at last. LUNA SEA will play six whole days at Nippon Budokan beginning on January 1 2013. However, the run at the prestigious Tokyo venue will be preceded by a performance at Osaka-jo Hall on December 23 2012.

LUNA SEA last played Budokan in May 2000, and Osaka-jo in August 2000. With over ten years between, the anticipation for both venues runs high. LUNA SEA’s history with Budokan is succinct but poignant. PREMIRE OF LUNACY 2000 was the band’s one and only concert at Budokan and was delayed by a storm before the performance could at last be held in commemoration of the album release, LUNACY. Now, in one sweep, the band will bump that one performance up to seven.
