R指定—R shitei—

Earlier this year, vocalist Mamo of R-shitei (R指定) was diagnosed with a medical condition known as pneumothorax, which is a disease that affects the lungs. However, after taking a short break from band activities in order to recover, Mamo made his return within a month, resuming activity in early June. The band announced their intention to make consecutive releases only a month later, the first of which is due July 25, with two more following in August and September.

The first release, which is the band’s fifth mini-album, Uraongenban Album is mostly comprised of songs previously released on rare singles that were only available at live houses. However, the first track “Mental Help,” is a brand new song that balances the old tracks on the album.

The following August release is similarly entitled:  Uraongenban Eizou and will contain three rare music videos to go along with the new track “Mental Help” and the older song  ”Sentimental.”

The final release will be September’s new single, kokuritsu shounen, although the details have yet to be announced. Despite the vocalist’s short respite, —R shitei— is back on track and fully operational. The band’s active release schedule and constant participation in event lives is good indication that this band won’t let minor setbacks get in the way of their music!
