For quite some time now, Doremidan (ドレミ團) have been releasing Indie music on a major label. Now comes the November 25 release of the band’s first major album containing all new music, entitled Don’t Let Me Down (ドントレットミーダウン).

The band has quite a history with the title. Their August 20 oneman live at Akasaka Blitz was also entitled “Don’t Let Me Down,” and the band’s name is derived from the Beatles song, “Don’t Let Me Down,” which, when pronounced in Japanese, sounds remarkably like “Doremidan.”

Doremidan will go on tour throughout Japan from December 4 to 26. Before the band goes on tour from December 4 to 26, the band plans a series of Tokyo events in September that will each be “produced” by a different member of the band, and center around various dramatic themes. The band also plans a fan club trip in November, which will take place on the 28 through the 29.

Doremidan’s busy schedule doesn’t end with 2009, either: the band already has its first oneman of 2010 already decided. In January, the band will perform their eighth anniversary oneman live at Ebisu Liquidroom on the 23.

Well, Doremidan, don’t let us down! We’re looking forward to your first major debut album!
