After many vague references to a third album release in August, we have a title to put to heidi.’s new work. In a recent interview, the band chose the title “Panorama”, explaining that the meaning of the word nicely expresses the wide variety of genres they intend to embrace in the album.

In the same interview, vocalist Yoshiko announced proudly that there will be more songs featuring his own lyrics on the new album as compared to previous releases. He claims that because he’s taken more liberties with the phrasing and has been able to sing more freely than he’s accustomed to, he’s brought more of himself into this latest work.

heidi. recently celebrated their third anniversary with a oneman at Nihon Seinenkan, where the band performed three years previously. heidi. claim that despite variations on their style and the broadening of the genre of their music, the band’s foundations will remain the same. Fans definitely seem to be okay with it: all you had to do was hear their voices encouraging the band to perform a third encore during the finale of their Asanaki Tsubasa Third Anniversary Tour.

heidi.’s in a good position to release their third full album this August, given the May release of their sixth single, Tsubasa and the subsequent tour. Three full albums in a little over three years means the band shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon.
