A follow-up to our previous Matenrou update: Matenrou Opera have already given us something fresh to look forward to for the latter half of 2009: their first live DVD, Dawn of Anomie in Akasaka Blitz. Filmed on July 23, 2009, the DVD will feature 17 songs out of the full two-hour set list. This release on November 25 will spell the end of the Anomie Project with a bang.

Beginning in January 2009, the band’s Anomie Project lasted throughout the first half of the year. The project didn’t end as expected with the Dawn of Anomie oneman live, however, and continued on throughout September to grace both Osaka and Nagoya. Now, with the re-release of the band’s first full album Anomie, and the upcoming compilation CD of hard-to-find older singles Coupling Collection 08-09, the band is tidying up the loose ends with this latest piece of news to provide the icing on the Anomie cake.

The DVD will be released only a few days before the final of Symphony from Japan—Matenrou Opera’s joint tour with fellow indie band Deluhi. Included in the DVD release will be a “DAWN OF ANOMIE in Akasaka BLITZ Memorial Ticket” as well as the form for the first round of ticket reservations for the much anticipated, May 2010 Shibuya C. C. Lemon Hall oneman live.
