The Studs

It’s been a rough year for The Studs. Their 2009 oneman tour called Alansmithee, which promoted the May release of their second album, concluded with the Alansmithee tour final at Daikanyama Unit on July 20. Despite the resignation of their drummer Hibiki in April, the band carried out the tour and decided to go on hiatus after a special oneman at Ebisu Liquidroom.

Now some good news, at last, from The Studs: The band will be releasing a live DVD of their Liquidroom oneman. This release is certainly a good move for the band, as it lifts the spirits of fans who will be awaiting their return to the visual kei scene. The official word from the band is that they promise to return, even though the length of their hiatus is uncertain. The DVD「the studs 20090807 LIQUIDROOM」will be released on October 10, which should be enough to keep fans satiated in the meantime.
