Shinjuku Loft played host to the first edition of the new J-Rock program, J-Rock a Go!Go!, a broadcast with the aim of giving J-ROCK bands a chance to show their stuff to a worldwide audience. The inaugural session brought together Uchuu Sentai NOIZ and defspiral; two bands with little in common save vocalists named TAKA and guitarists named MASATO.

Ruby Room in Shibuya filled up with fans of KISS THE WORLD and their guests (defspiral’s MASATO on guitar and the up and coming young bassist, Hikaru) and despite the fact that a typhoon would soon be raging outside, the atmosphere inside was relaxed. “Please wait ten more minutes!” DIE called at start time, explaining that he wanted to wait for any stragglers caught in the typhoon.

All but the vocalist came back to the stage and RYO confessed his most birthday-like activity: “I called my mother to tell her my gratitude for bearing me but it was an answering machine.” Out of nowhere, “Happy Birthday” sounded and TAKA appeared with a birthday cake for RYO, yelling “Let’s sing together!”
