The first grinding of guitars came shuddering out from behind the curtains five minutes before ReivieЯ hit the stage, then as the lights dimmed and the background music hit a crescendo, the curtains pulled back to reveal the oncoming band: Drummer Hiro, bassist Hayato, guitarists Makoto and Kou, and lead singer Jey. ReivieЯ's heavy opener, "Shiroyume, kuroshiro no kioku," shook the foundations and Jey's vocals ranged from deathly growling to impressive screaming. As soon as "Coarse affection" began, the crowd was writhing over barriers and other fans.

Resurrected from a previous incarnation in 2007, ReivieЯ know their way around the VK Indie scene. Calling them "regulars" at Takadanobaba AREA would be an understatement, as they have over fifty concerts under their belt at that venue alone.

Dio Cancels(?) European Tour Plans; Big Announcement Slated for July 29 PS Company Concert

n January, Dio had announced that their 2009 tour schedule would include both a European and an American tour and posted dates on their MySpace page. But guess what guys: without any explanation, the dates were taken down and the overseas plans postponed. There has been no news at all on this front until now!

DaizyStripper Releases CROSSTRIP; Ecocap Charity = More than just pretty faces?

Still blazing their way through the oshare scene since the release of their first single Dandelion in 2008, DaizyStripper are already scheduled to release their first live DVD, CROSSTRIP, exactly one year from the date of its filming. The footage will feature the band's sold-out September 9 oneman live at Takadanobaba AREA in 2008 and will be released on September 9 2009. CROSSTRIP will be available via Like an Edison's online store (or CDJapan, stateside) and will cost 3,000 yen.
