L’Arc-en-Ciel 2012 World Tour!

Tour

by Leela McMullen, posted June 1, 2011

On their May 29 performance, L’Arc-en-Ciel announced their first world tour in three years streamed to theaters world wide. The performance has eight locations scheduled for 2012:

  • Hong Kong
  • Shanghai
  • Taipei
  • Bangkok
  • New York
  • London
  • Paris
  • Tokyo

and more…

That final “and more…” is a cliffhanger for fans hoping that the legendary L’Arc will grace a nearby city or country. However, waiting for further announcements is not recommended given that the band can sell out theaters around the world for a live streaming event. In fact, the original combined capacity of the theaters across seven countries was increased by three times to accommodate demand, and was still insufficient. A live world tour? Nope, we wouldn’t recommend waiting even a moment to get your hands on that golden ticket.

In the meanttime, L’Arc-en-Ciel will tour their home country this autumn, crossing Japan from September through December for their 20th L’Anniversary Tour. The halls, domes, and arenas on the menu include stops in Saitama, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Nagoya, and Osaka.

With X JAPAN, Dir en Grey and many, many more Japanese artists on the move in the international scene, now L’Arc-en-Ciel are staking their claim. Good luck L’Arc-en-Ciel, we look forward to seeing you!
