Matenrou Opera

Matenrou Opera are once again on the move, following their first successful major oneman live at Akasaka Blitz and the release of their first full album, Anomie.  Their latest announcement is good news for fans who were unable to get their hands on singles that were sold exclusively at concerts or have otherwise become difficult to find. The CD entitled Coupling Collection is due for October 28 and will include a number of songs that were released between March 2008 and 2009. Here is the eight-song tracklist:

  1. honey drop
  2. 忘却セルロイド (Boukyaku Celluloid)
  3. 蜃気楼 (Shinkirou)
  4. 輝ける世界 (Kagayakeru Sekai)
  5. ダチュラ (Dachura)
  6. 天上への架け橋を (Tenjou he no Kakehashi wo)
  7. Faust
  8. ローンデイジー (Lawn Daizy)

The band also plans to re-release the album Anomie with an extra track— “Eternal Symphony” —which was given out as a free disc at the Dawn of Anomie oneman to those who presented a coupon that was included in the first press edition of the album.

In November, the band will embark on a national tour presented by Sherow Artist Society (which is affiliated with Versailles Philharmonic Quartet) along with another upcoming band, DELUHI. The tour is called Symphony from Japan and will hit eight locations throughout the country, winding down at Kawasaki Club Citta. Last but not least, we have the band’s announcement that Matenrou Opera’s next major oneman is scheduled for March 2010 at Shibuya C. C. Lemon Hall. No further information is available, but we’ll be keeping our ears to the ground, so don’t forget to keep an eye out for further news!
